NEW FABRIC BUNCHES
Dugdale Bros, Loro Piana & More
New Collections, Drago, Loro Piana, Dugdale Bros
Every season we introduce new bunches from our favourite merchants and continually we seek new and exciting fabrics to bolster our already extensive offering. Within the last few weeks, we have received a lot of exquisite cloth from Dugdale Bros, Loro Piana, Drago and others.
Some are updates on classic collections, such as Holland and Sherry’s perennial suiting “Crispaire”, Dugdale Bros tropical wool “New Fine Worsted” and Loro Piana’s timeless classic “Jackets and Trousers.”
Ohers such as Drago’s brand new pure Cashmere bunch “Aspen” and Loro Piana’s “Wool and Cashmere Flannels” are brand new permanent collections that add yet more luxurious options to your wardrobe.
Finally, we also have a couple of Limited Edition winter collections from Dugdale Bros in the shape of their 100% merino wool “Winter Jacketing” and their flannel and double milled suiting collection “Old England”.

Dugdale Bros - Winter Jacketing, Limited Edition
lORO PIANA | hELIOS | COLLEZIONE 770
First up we have Helios from Loro Piana, a 270gram super 130’s wool solaro with its signature iridescent effect as used by the British Royal soldiers in the 20th Century. A lightweight cloth with a firm handle, suitable for summer and transitional jacketings and suiting. A vibrant bunch best experienced in person.
Dugdale Bros & Co | wINTER JACKETING “LIMITED EDITION”
Dugdale Bros new “Winter Jacketing” bunch is a limited edition collection that won’t be around long. A classic display filled with Dugdale Bros unmistakable craft and heritage which will thrive in the cooler months.
Weighing in at a hearty 320grams Winter Jacketing has a spongey texture with a pleasurable feel. If you’re a fan of flannels, tweeds and similar fabrics, this bunch is for you.
The bunch features autumnal shades of brown, green and grey in sartorial checks, alongside undyed wools as taken from the sheep’s back. A bunch with a soft handle which will form the backbone of the sartorialists jacket collection.
Dugdale Bros | Winter Jacketing
Dugdale Bros & Co | old england
“Old England” is another limited edition cloth from Dugdale Bros weighing in at 380gram. A collection of flannel and double milled suitings in a pallete reflective of Huddersfields beatiful landscape.
Another hardy cloth best suited for winter suitings, but equally at home for jacketings. Navy, grey and brown are all prominent colours in patterns and plains.
Our favourite (second image in the scrolling gallery) is a tobacco brown houndstooth check that is also available in forest green.
Dugdale Bros & Co| New Fine Worsted (updated)
The updated “New Fine Worsted” is a collection of plain weave suiting in traditional colours with a firm handle.
“New Fine Worsted “ is a tropical wool performance cloth that is at the higher end of the weight spectrum for summer suiting but still retains excellent crease resistance and breathability.
This cloth should form the backbone of your summer suiting collection
holland & sherry | mesh and hopsack blazer (Updated)
Mesh and Hopsack Blazer gets a refresh with some vibrant colours and textures updated for 2024
A comfortable and versatile approach to the modern blazer. Light and breathable with an extensive colour palette and iconic texture. This jacketing fits easily into your wardrobe
A 9oz lightweight, open-mesh cloth suitable for the warmer months but with a colour palette that can be enjoyed well into the transitional seasons.
Holland & Sherry | CRISPAIRE (UPDATED)
Crispaire is a full-bodied, durable cloth which effortlessly deals with creases. Particularly fantastic for business travel, Crispaire is younger brother of high twist. We previously reviewed this cloth here
Through the bunch there are a range of solutions for formal suits as well as more casual and arguably “Out There” designs.
If you like the high-twist performance and bunches like “New Fine Worsted” by Dugdales but want a lighter and slightly more experimental taste, this bunch would be a fantastic idea to explore.
Drago | Sunlit Jacketing
Since bringing Drago on board they have turned into a favourite merchant who are a pleasure to deal with. We have been banging the drum with them to produce a core jacketing bunch and I’m glad to say they have delivered with “Sunlit”.
Refined comfort and natural elegance are the goals of the Sunlit jacketing collection. A range of wool, silk and linen blends sit alongside wool and linen blends in utterly wearable shades of navy, brown and summer tones
The name of the bunch in itself implies Drago’s vision for the bunch. These jackets aren’t meant to be subdued and hidden away, they’re made to be expressed and proudly displayed in the sunlight.
Drago | Cerimonia
Special occasions deserve special cloth and Drago delivers Cerimonia. With tasteful yet experimental designs sitting alongside classic designs, this bunch endeavours to enclose the wearer's personality.
Its a bunch not for the faint-hearted, but if you want a garment that will truly turns heads then Ceremonia is the one.
Drago | Aspen CASHMERE JACKETINGS
A new collection of pure cashmere jacketing in wearable twills.
Drago utilise classic and timeless colours to bolster a cloth with outstanding tactile response. Whilst its main use would be autumn jackets this cloth could also be applied to evening wear too (though not trousers).
A cloth that is a pleasure to wear but would be most suited to a full wardrobe as a pleasurable addition. “It feels like having a hug off a cloud” is the best description of this cloth.
Drago | Skyfall fLANNEL COLLECTION
Full of texture and body Drago delivers a 14.5-micron flannel with that familiar luxurious texture and feathery softness. A cloth for special occasions and one that demands a lot but rewards its wearer with unbridled pleasure.
Similar to Aspen the colour scheme is understated with earthy tones and textured plains. Coming in at a heart-warming 380 grams but feeling much lighter to the touch.
One for the decadent suit wearer this winter.
Huddersfield Fine Worsted | Bamboo (UPDATED)
We have stocked Bamboo II and III and utilised them often for jackets and the occasional suit. However, we have often dreamed of blending bamboo with wool to imbue this unique fibre with wools performance enhancing properties so were excited about this new bunch update.
HFW has updated the bunch and not only blended it with wool but also with lurex and silk to create a vibrant bunch with multiple uses.
The silk blends are best used for jackets, whilst the lurex blends live in evening wear and the wool blends can be anything you desire. For a great example of of bamboo dinner jacket read this blog post
It’s a very textile cloth with a slight sheen and one best viewed and experienced first-hand.
There is a lot to get through and a lot to see so thanks for taking the time to leaf through the collections. As always they are best viewed in person and you can book using the below button
As I write this I’m also getting emails from other merchants with more collections due in the next week or so. Honestly, it never stops.
Cacciopoli seasonals are always a highlight and are wingtheir away to us from Napoli. Our house AW24 suiting’s and shirting are on their way from out Portuguese team whilst our house Vitale Barberis collection has also been updated and is due to arrive in around 7 days. Phew!
